Time To Write A WordPress Plugin

wp_combobox3

Ok – I like WP E-Commerce, but the damn thing doesn’t have a way for me to assign a sku / part number to each individual option combination – if you have a store item with four colors and four sizes – you really have 16 different things, each with it’s own unique part number as far as the manufacturer is concerned. WP E-Commece does not provide this functionality. At best there’s a plugin out there that’ll let you assign a SKU to a single product

The deal is that I have a client that needs this (as in “gotta have”). I scoured the Internet and practically waterboarded Google during my interrogation looking for a plugin for wp-ECommerce that’d do the job – for the better part of three hours today! I finally came to the conclusion I’m just gonna have to put something together myself.

Which is cool – I’ve been looking for a good excuse to write a cool plugin ;-) I’ll letcha know how it comes out.
